Doris E. Sherman, 89, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away on September 8th at the Wyomissing Highlands.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Elsie R. (Rudolph) Keller.
Her husband Allen W. Sherman passed away on July 7, 1990.
She attended Reading High School, but graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1935.
Doris was a Cub Scout Den Mother in Syracuse, NY, where her husband Allen served as Vice President of Carrier Corp.
She is survived by one son, David L. Sherman of London, England and one daughter, Susan S. (Sherman) Christensen of Dana Point, CA.
Doris is also survived by one sister, Edith (Keller) Wilson of Lower Gynedd, Pa., and a devoted friend, Carol Hannahoe of Fleetwood.
There are also six grandchildren, Dana Kudell, Erika Barnes, Hunter Christensen, Jeffrey Sherman, Amy Sherman and Dorian Sherman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Highlands at Wyomissing. Burial will be private in Charles Evans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Highlands at Wyomissing, 2000 Cambridge Ave. Wyomissing, PA 19610. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
