Obituary for Albert Komlodi
Albert Komlodi, 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Monday, March 21, 2022, at his home in Muhlenberg Township. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Jacob S. and Mary F. Komlodi. He was a graduate of Reading High School. Albert was a loving husband and devoted father who worked full time while attending classes at Pennsylvania State University to graduate with a degree in electronics.
He worked 25 years at Carpenter Technology as a systems control engineer before retiring. Once retired he was an instructor in Electrical Technology at vocational technical schools. Albert enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid history buff who loved reading and watching documentaries. His hobbies included boating, fishing and especially woodworking.
Albert is survived by his wife Joan (Spangler) Komlodi, son, Kerry L., Muhlenberg Twp., daughter Karol Sowers, Shoemakersville, two granddaughters, Stacy A. Sowers, Shoemakersville and Leah Komlodi Rybin, Council Bluffs, IA, and one great granddaughter, Estell Grace Rybin. He was predeceased by a son, T. Sgt. Keith A. Komlodi and a brother, Richard C. Komlodi.
A visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Chapel at Laureldale Cemetery, 4531 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605. Services and burial to follow visitation. Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Temple is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Cancer Research in memory of Keith Komlodi.
