Allan Lee Storck, 90, passed away on September 2, 2023 at Columbia Cottage. He was the husband of Suzanne Karterman-Storck and the son of the late Horace R. Storck and Gertrude (Borkenhagen) Storck.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Allen graduated from Southside Division High School, after which he enlisted in the Air Force, serving in both Colorado and Hawaii.
He returned to Wisconsin, where he enrolled in and graduated from Carroll College. Through friends, Al was introduced to CNA. Beginning a career in California as a traveling claims representative, he spent the next 35 years with the company, working from Berks County.
Al is survived by his wife, sons, Christopher A. Storck, husband of Wendi (Bordonaro) Storck, of Sinking Spring and Scott P. Storck, husband of Kristen (Annesley) Storck, of Blue Bell and step-daughters, Michele L. (Whitehouse), wife of Daniel Folk, of Lake Forest, CA and Amy S. (Whitehouse), wife of Robert Kaunert, of Harleysville.
His sons were involved in sports as young boys and being a loving and involved father, he encouraged and coached Van Reed basketball, having played the game in high school as well as in the Air Force. Chris and Scott were also introduced to golf and continue to play the game, competing locally and nationally. The family room in Al’s home was known as “The Clubhouse” by many sports loving friends and neighbors.
In addition to being an active member of the YMCA, he enjoyed gardening, traveling, and of course, golfing. Al and Suzanne would have celebrated 35 years of marriage this November. Family was very important to both of them, as well as enjoying their lives together.
Al is survived by nine grandchildren: Brooke (Storck) Menet, Cody Storck, Piper Storck, Will Storck, Riley Folk, Robert Folk, Ryan Folk, Hailey Kaunert, and Olivia (Kaunert) Morrissette.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be offered to the organization of your choice. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be written at KuhnFuneralHomes.com.
