Obituary for Andrew P. Manula

Andrew “Andy” P. Manula, 55, of Royersford, passed away on February 21, 2023, at Phoenixville Hospital.

He was born in State College and was the son of the late Charles B. and Patricia A. (Edwards) Manula.

Andy worked in manufacturing as a laborer. He served many years in the Catholic church as an altar server. Andy was an avid participant in the Centre County, Carbon County, and Berks County chapters of Special Olympics and though he collected numerous trophies and medals in power lifting, track/field, and bowling over the years, it was the people Andy met and the friendships he formed along the way that he treasured. Andy was a “Pied Piper” and had many, many fans from all walks of life. He enjoyed listening to music, playing musical instruments, following the PSU Nittany Lions, watching WWF, swimming, food (peanut butter cups & Arby’s), a nice suit, and a good party/celebration, especially if dancing was involved. If you asked Andy where he preferred to be or what he preferred to do, the answer was inevitably spending time with his family. He was gentle and compassionate and always knew when to provide a kind word or a hug. Andy brought joy and laughter to the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him, and he will be greatly missed.

Andrew is survived by his siblings, Charles Manula, Maryanne Kociolek-Manula, Suzanne Manula, Patricia Lebo, and Cyril Manula, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10 a.m. till the start of Andy's memorial service at 11 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Homes Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
