Obituary for Anna Victoria Kopala
Anna Victoria Kopala, 99, of Reading, passed away in her residence on Monday, July 17, 2023. Born in Reading to the late John and Sophia (Zajac) Kopala, Anna graduated from Reading High School ranked among the top 100 in her class.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Her faith was very important to her, and she was very proud of her Polish heritage. She would volunteer during the holidays to cook traditional Polish meals.
She retired from Continental Can.
She is survived by her nephews, Matthew and Edward Lessig. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Mary Kopala, Bernice Kopala, Angela Kurpiewski, Peter Kopala, Stanley Kopala, and Theresa Lessig, and by her niece, Denise M. Lessig.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 250 S 12th St, Reading, PA 19602, with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the start of Mass. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
