Obituary for Barbara L. Ciervo (Schearer)
Barbara “Bobby” L. (Schearer) Ciervo, 87, of West Reading, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in the comfort of her own home. She was the loving widow of Daniel A. Ciervo, Sr., who passed away August 23, 2021.
Born in West Reading to the late Elmer and Gladys (Strunk) Schearer, Bobby was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church where she was a member of the guitar choir.
She graduated from West Reading High School. She served as an administrative assistant at Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance.
Bobby’s favorite place to eat was the American Diner where she was a well-known regular. She routinely gathered with her cousins over cards and dominos. In the summer, she enjoyed floating in the pool. Bobby liked to bake, especially cookies and fastnachts. Bobby treasured time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Barbara’s memory will be forever treasured by her children: Danelle Parisi (Tom) of Wyomissing Hills; Albert Ciervo (Amy) of Philadelphia; Daniel A. Ciervo, Jr., (Judy) of Reading; and Victor Ciervo (Brooke) of Temple; her 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren with one more expected.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading, with entombment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Hyde Park.
