Obituary for Barbara Lee Scherrer (Graupp)
Barbara Lee (Graupp) Scherrer, 61, of Exeter Twp., passed away peacefully in her home. She was the loving wife of the late John J. Scherrer. Sadly, John passed in 2017.
Born in Reading on September 10, 1958, Barbara was a daughter of Eleanor Elmira Eckert and the late Ludwig Sebastian Graupp. She was employed with St. Joseph Hospital as an Aide and then Planned Parenthood. Lastly, she was employed with the Reading School District.
Barbara enjoyed going to the farmers market for 23 Years. She also enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars and the Bachelor. She was an animal lover and Loved to do Diamond Artwork.
In addition to her mother, Eleanor, Barbara is survived by two children: Andrew J. Alexander and his wife, Mandy Clouser of Lake Winona and Kourtney E. Alexander and her companion, Kelsey L. Grey of Reading; stepson, John B. Scherrer and his wife, Leighanne Slaski of Wyomissing and three sisters: Ellen L. Eller and her husband, David of Reading, Adrianne L. Graupp of Pottstown and Regina N. Hill and her husband, Robert of Reading.
A graveside committal will be held at 11am on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606 with Father Christopher Zelonis officiating. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Ave., West Reading is handling the arrangements.
