Obituary for Barry Floyd Nestler

Barry Floyd Nestler, 85, of Reading, passed away December 24, 2020, at the Berkshire Center. He left his earthly burden to be in the arms of his beloved wife, Janet.

His wife, Janet F. (Coller) Nestler died on January 2019. They married on July 5, 1958.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Floyd E. Nestler and Ruth (Gilmore) Zorzo.

He was a graduate of Reading High School.

Barry was employed by Bortz Chocolate, Reading as a production manager and Quaker Maid Meats as a maintenance technician. Before retiring, he also worked for Lacey Electric.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Barry loved spending time with his family especially with his wife Janet and her sister, Jude. He also enjoyed going out to eat and travel.

His family is blessed to have felt his love, laughs at his “one-liners” and learned from his patience. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by two sons, Christopher J., widower of Kimmarie Nestler, Exeter Township and Sheldon F., widower of Emelyn Nestler, Reading. Three grandchildren, Sheldon, Kane and Conner; two great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Nestler and Matthew Nestler and one sister-in-law, Jude, widow of Adolf Grishkat, Newbern, NC, also survive him.
