Obituary for Bonnie K. Lozenski

Bonnie Kay Lozenski, 71, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

She was a New Year’s baby, born on December 31, 1950 in Pottstown, PA, to Robert and Elaine Lozenski (nee Biehl). A 1968 graduate of Pottstown High School, Bonnie was a standout athlete in Field Hockey, Basketball & Lacrosse, earning varsity letters for all three her junior and senior years of high school. Following graduation, she attended Montgomery County Community College, where she was a member of the US Women’s field hockey team, before taking on positions at Boyer’s shoe store and various optical companies in the Pottstown area.

In her earlier years, Bonnie enjoyed camping and spending time at her family’s cottage near the Barnegat Bay. As she got older, Bonnie was an avid follower of the Morgantown's Outlaws fast ball team in the Tri-County Fast Ball League.

Bonnie never married, but rather channeled all of her love into her niece and nephew, and supported both of them in whatever they pursued well in to adulthood. She was a true animal lover and adored all of her pet cats and dogs with a passion. Bonnie enjoyed going to dog shows throughout the northeast and was actively involved in helping to show her family’s and her own Great Danes. Weekend trips to dog shows with her brother were one of her favorite things to do.

Bonnie wasn’t much of a cook, but she made the best deviled eggs around. She was a horror movie fanatic and never missed a new movie. But more than anything else, Bonnie was the biggest Eagles and Phillies fan, to the end. She had a life-long love affair with her mom’s cooking – especially apple pie, banana pudding, and mom mom’s chili and meat pie, to name some.

Bonnie is survived by her brother David and his wife Karen, her niece Karissa and her wife Kimberly; her nephew Robert, his wife Melanie, and their daughters, Reese and Quinn; and her canine great-niece and nephew, Punky Jane and Gustav.

In addition to expressing her love for her family, Bonnie also shared much love for her friends, or family, if you will – especially her lifelong friend, Pris, for sticking by her and for all the laughs throughout the years; and her dear friend, Cheryl, who made her days at Pennsburg Manor a joy.

Bonnie was preceded in death by both her father and mother, as well as her beloved pets throughout the years.

All who loved her will never forget her habit of always falling for the joke, her smile and sense of humor, her incredibly big heart, and her love for those she held dear. Bonnie loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. till 11 a.m. at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc, Pottstown. A service will follow at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in to the Montgomery County SPCA in Bonnie’s memory and cheering on the Eagles and Phillies.
