Obituary for Bruce H. Dietrich, Jr.
Bruce H. Dietrich, Jr., 68, formerly of Reading, died on May 1, 2022, at Embrace Hospice House, Myrtle Beach, SC.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Bruce H., Sr., and Virginia (Goheen) Dietrich.
He was a graduate of Holy Name High School.
Bruce was employed for over 20 years by the City of Reading Police Department last working as a criminal investigator. After law enforcement, Bruce began his second career as an insurance fraud investigator with Traveler’s Insurance covering the greater Philadelphia area and southeastern Pennsylvania.
He is survived by three children: Tricia, wife of Brian Kerchner, Sinking Spring, Shaun, husband of Shannon Dietrich, Shillington, and Ashley, wife of Justin Negri, Sinking Spring. Two siblings: George Dietrich, Ephrata and Eileen, wife of Vincent Cardile, MD.; five grandchildren: Sierra Kugler, Jordyn Negri, Maycee Dietrich, Myles Negri, and Ava Kerchner; and several nieces and nephews, also survive him.
Bruce was predeceased by his daughter, Magen Dietrich.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be private.
