Obituary for Carol E. Schell (Bechtold)
Carol E. Schell, 76, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Steven R. Schell. They shared 50 wonderful years together.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Russel and Elizabeth (Bickel) Bechtold. Carol graduated from McCaskey High School in 1964 and the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1967. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Reading Hospital Operating Room for 46 years.
Left to treasure Carol’s memory are her husband, Steven; sons, Matthew Schell and Justin Schell, husband of Amanda Brodish; grandson, Daniel; and her brothers, Russel (Florence) and Walter (Joan) Bechtold.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA, 19611. Friends and family are invited to gather from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Business casual attire would be appreciated.
