Obituary for Christine R. Bernecker (Bernecker)
Christine R. Bernecker, 68, formerly of West Lawn, passed away Friday afternoon, June 3, 2022, at Berks Heim, surrounded by family. Christine was the daughter of the late Harry T. and Rose A. (Leszczynski) Bernecker. She was a graduate of Wilson High School and Mansfield University.
Christine is survived by her beloved sister, Audrey M. Bernecker, of Carrollton, TX and many cousins, other family and friends who loved her dearly, as well as her Berks Heim “family”.
Christine truly enjoyed watching ice skating, gymnastics and football on television (especially the Dallas Cowboys) and using stickers on the many cards that she sent us all.
A mere “Thank You” is insufficient for the family to express its appreciation for the caring, compassionate and loving care that was provided to Christine over the last almost five years by former and current staff at Berks Heim, especially B1.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Berks Heim Resident Activities Fund, PO Box 1495, Reading, PA 19603.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius RCC in West Lawn with interment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until the start of the mass. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
