Obituary for Clare P. Jones (Pankok)

Clare (Pankok) Jones, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Berks Heim.
Born the youngest of seven on Thanksgiving, November 24, 1932, in Salem, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Clara (Schuh) Pankok, and the loving wife of the late John Quig Stirling Jones, who passed in 2008.

Clare was employed for many years by Associated Printers, Inc, a family-owned business in Pennsville, NJ. After relocating to Reading, she delighted in volunteering in the gift shop of Reading Hospital, and truly enjoyed reading, sewing, old movies, and especially loved listening to Frank Sinatra. She was an elegant lady who will be dearly missed by her family.

Clare is survived by her daughters, Susan L. Bailey, wife of David, Wyomissing Hills, and Carol Berry, wife of Kim, Exeter Township, as well as three grandchildren: Jonathan Bailey, husband of Amanda, Alexandra Zamorski, wife of James, and Steven Zamorski, plus six great grandchildren, who she adored. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas A. Pankok.

In addition to her parents and husband, Clare was predeceased by her sister Helen Chrustowski and brothers Carl, Harry, Leo, and John.

Due to COVID restrictions, services are private at the convenience of Clare’s family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to Helping Harvest Food Bank, Reading PA at helpingharvest.org. The Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
