Obituary for Darlene Moyer Krumanocker (Scheidt)

Darlene Moyer Krumanocker, 81, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. She was the loving wife of Henry Sterling Krumanocker, Jr., with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Fleetwood, she was a daughter of the late Milan and Eva (Moyer) Scheidt. Darlene devoted her life to her family, raising three daughters alongside Henry. Her seven grandsons were the joy of her life, and she would share stories about them with everyone she met. Darlene was kind, caring, generous, and always put others above herself. Her sense of humor was one of her most endearing qualities.

Darlene had a passion for working with children and spent many years as a Sunday School teacher at St. Paul’s U.C.C. in Fleetwood. She also enjoyed attending many musical and sporting events of her children and grandchildren and was one of their biggest fans.

Darlene was a woman of strong faith and was known for her green thumb. Baking was her specialty, and everyone loved her delicious angel food cakes. She lived by the motto never never never give up, which is why she was the ultimate fighter to the very end.

Left to cherish her memory are husband, Henry; daughters: Donna Kauffman (Jon) of Millersville, Dawn Main (George) of Denver, PA, Jennifer Foo (Melvin) of Reading; sisters: Sharon Scheidt, Beryl Kunitsky (Victor), and Vicky Scheidt; and grandsons: Jared Kauffman, Justin Kauffman, Daniel Main, Darren Main, Luke Main, Ryan Foo, and Adam Foo. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kane Scheidt.
