Obituary for Debra A. Manderewicz

Debra A. Manderewicz, 69, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the Reading Hospital.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Bruce A. and Joan R. (Miller) Troelsch.

She was a graduate of Reading High School, Kutztown University, and Hood College, Frederick MD., where she earned a master’s degree in Thanatology. Debra spent her professional career helping others cope with loss and grief. Throughout her life, she was a dental hygienist, massage therapist, and Reiki Master before finding her true calling in hospice care for Heartland Home Health and Hospice. Her personal wish was that we, in this society, can talk more openly about death and dying and accept it as a natural part of our circle of life; for if we understand that circle of life, we can truly live our lives to the fullest potential.

A true fighter with a giant spirit to match, family and faith were always important to her. Debra loved the beach and looked forward to her yearly trips with friends to Ocean City. She enjoyed visiting with her sons and grandchildren whenever possible. She was a warm, caring, selfless person with a great sense of humor who will be sincerely missed by all.

Debra is survived by two sons, Geoffrey Manderewicz, wife Jaclyn of Fayetteville, NC., and Kyle Manderewicz, wife Alison of Exeter Township; and six grandchildren: Julia, Lorelai, Julian, Layla, Madison, and Emma.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Steven Troelsch and Ronald Troelsch.
