Obituary for Donald P. Saul
Donald P. Saul passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the age of 93.
Born in Shoemakersville, he was the son of the late John A. and Naomi (Moyer) Saul. Donald was the husband of the late Marylou (Becker) Saul whom he married on August 28, 1948. They were married for 70 years before her passing in 2019.
Donald was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company and the Port Clinton Fish and Game. He was retired from Met-Ed in Hamburg after working there for over 40 years.
Surviving are his children: Bruce R. Saul and wife Laverne (Smith) Saul, Kathy A. (Saul) Loeb and husband Glenn A. Loeb, Craig W. Saul and wife Beverly (Wesner) Saul; and daughter-in-law Rose Ann (Yoder) Saul. In addition, he is survived by eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother Robert Saul, sister Ruth (Saul) Davis, and his son David D. Saul.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17 2023, at 11:00 am in Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc (formerly Burkey & Driscoll), 40 South 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery, Shoemakersville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his honor to St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville.
