Donald Charles Weckel, son of Leonard J. Weckel (Bryn), Blandon, and Barbara (Ruth) Weckel, Sinking Spring, passed away on September 2, 2022 in Naperville, Illinois after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Donald was born in 1967 in Waterbury, CT and graduated from Wilson High School in 1985 where he was a four year starter on the soccer team. Don continued playing soccer at Elizabethtown College, graduating in 1989. He also went on to referee youth soccer. He married YaVonne (Perrine) in 1988. Don worked as a CPA in the Reading-Lancaster area. They have two children, Kaitlyn and Matthew (Angel), and three grandchildren, Tristan, Nicolas, and Elliot. The family moved to Illinois in 2005. Don was the owner of Simple Business Solutions, Naperville. He is also survived by two brothers: Leonard, Jr. Newnan, GA , (sons Jacob and Steven) and Michael (Beth), (daughter Charley and son Dallas.)
There will be a Celebration of Life service at El Paso United Methodist Church, El Paso, IL on October 8, 2022.
