Dorothy Perks (Miller), 95, married to the late Robert W. Perks for 34 years, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Reading Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born April 16, 1927 in Vandalia, Illinois she was a daughter of the late Richard and Rose (Klukis) Miller.
Dorothy was an avid Phillies fan, loved listening to country music and yes, she could yodel. Dorothy enjoyed bowling for the local leagues; her and her team won many trophies. She would do word find puzzles, crafting and playing horseshoes. One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her family and play games, especially triominos and the card game 31.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Robert S. Perks (companion Eileen), Gloria G. Capinski (husband Edward), Nancy M. Gelormo (husband Dominic) and Deborah A. Rorabaugh (husband Robert). A sister, Betty Freeman. Dorothy has eight grandchildren: Michael Capinski, William Capinski, Kimberly Smith, David Gelormo, Angela Bruno, Lisa Rorabaugh, Ashley Bogenschutz and Bethany Perks. She also has 13 loving great grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in the Gathering Center, Pottstown. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery on Buchert Road, Pottstown.
