Obituary for Edmund J Slaby
Edmund J. Slaby Sr, 84, husband of the late Joan (Lutrzykowski) Slaby, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Pottstown Hospital Tower Health.
He was a son of the late John and Helen (Bachmurski) Slaby.
Edmund’s passion was the game of golf. At an early age, golf became his obsession. Edmund took every opportunity to discuss golf or spend countless hours trying to perfect his swing. He would often be overheard saying “I’m going to the driving range to hit a bucket of balls”. He routinely played golf with family members and friends several times a week.
While he loved to play golf, Edmund also enjoyed automobiles. He was especially fond of Cadillacs, Jaguars, and classic cars. Over the years he owned several Cadillacs and Jaguars and was always searching for the next perfect car.
Edmund is survived by his children; Edmund J. Slaby Jr (wife Barbara), John P. Slaby (wife Jennifer) and Elizabeth Slaby. Two sisters Mary Vallere and Judy Kennedy and three grandchildren; Victoria, Meredith and Stephanie.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Gabriel’s R.C. Church, Stowe on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Church.
Inurnment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
