Obituary for Elizabeth D. Cammarosano
Elizabeth D. Cammarosano (better known as Betty), age 77, of Allentown, PA passed away peacefully in her residence on June 6, 2020.
Betty was born in Brooklyn, NY and attended Upsala College in East Orange, NJ. She held a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St.Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. Betty was dedicated to her nursing profession serving in several institutions in Brooklyn, most recently at the Sephardic Nursing Home with over 15 years of service. Betty was also her mother’s devoted caregiver for several years.
Betty was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, serving in several capacities including as a member of the Church Council. She joined Nativity Lutheran Church when she moved to Allentown five years ago. In addition to being a joyful volunteer, Betty was an avid reader, and she had a deep love of family, always enjoying family gatherings and exhibiting her wry sense of humor.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Dr. Carmine Cammarosano in 1999. She is survived by her cousin, The Rev. John C. Richter, husband of Patricia, and their children Kirsten Richter, Courtney Richter, wife of Melissa Lopez, and Meredith Weisman, wife of John, and their children Jeanie and Clara.
A memorial service will be held at a future date at Luther Crest in Allentown. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Luther Crest Benevolent Care Fund at 800 Hausman Rd., Allentown, PA 18104.
