Obituary for Elizabeth J. Levandowski (Kohl)
Elizabeth J. (Kohl) Levandowski, 93, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Berkshire Commons. She was the daughter of the late Arnold J. and Catherine Kohl. Elizabeth was a devoted wife to her late husband, Edward J. Levandowski, with whom she shared nearly 70 wonderful years.
Elizabeth graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947 and went on to work in food service at the Reading School District, and then as the owner of Betty Koed Luncheonette before starting her family.
Elizabeth enjoyed swimming and participating in water aerobics at Albright, and was a lifetime member of the Hillside Swimming Pool of Reading. Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul's Parish, participating in the Holy Family Society there.
Left to treasure her memory are her children: Edward (Nancy) of Pottstown; Susan Covone of Reading; and Matthew of Vermont; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Arnold Kohl (Mary Lou) of Florida.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra, her brother, Thomas Brozoza, and her sister, Margaret Walsh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 151 N 9th St, Reading, PA 19601, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
