Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Valgus
Elizabeth "Betty" Helen Valgus, 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Complete Care Berkshire,
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Dmochowski) Ulatowski. Betty married Paul Valgus on September 19, 1953 and was his loving wife for 51 years until his passing in 2004. In her career as a professional seamstress, she worked for Vanity Fair and David Crystal. She continued to create clothing and purses even after retirement, expressing her love of sewing and fabric arts until just a few years ago.
Elizabeth is survived by brother, Joseph Ulatowski; nephew, Matthew Ulatowski, of Reading; and step-niece, Tracey Kummerer of Oregon.
According to her wishes, services for Betty will be private, followed by entombment at Gethsemane Cemetery.
