Obituary for Emily R. Dengler (Lorah)

Emily R. Dengler, 86, passed away on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 at Manor Care in Laureldale. She was the loving wife of Wayne E. Dengler, with whom she shared 41 years.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John and Kate (Readinger) Lorah. After graduating from Mt Penn High School, Emily was a talented seamstress. She and her husband Wayne owned and operated the North End Tailor Shop in Pottstown for many years. She often used her skills to create unique and whimsical Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. Emily enjoyed playing the piano and was especially fond of ragtime music. She and Wayne were avid bowlers at Bowl-A-Rama in Exeter for many years.

She was a member of Zion Spies Evangelical Reformed Church.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Charise Rogosky, wife of Peter, of Temple; three grandchildren: Brittany Hassler, Hillary Rogosky, and Matthew Rogosky; and a sister, Pearl.

She was preceded in death by brothers: John, Paul, Lester, George, and David; and sisters: Sarah, Edna and Miriam.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17 at Spies Zion Cemetery, 318 Spies Church Rd, Reading, Pennsylvania, 19606.
