.Emma Jean (Jeanie) Mengel, 93, of Womelsdorf, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Jeanie was born in November 1929, to John D. and Verna M. Greif.

She was a loving wife to Theodore (Ted) Mengel for 58 years until his passing in 2014.

Jeanie was a member of Community Evangelical Church where she often enjoyed playing the piano. Anyone who was blessed to know her, also knew of her unwavering love for Jesus.

Jeanie is survived by her daughter, Pamela Joy, wife of George Grossnickle; Shillington; sister,
Judith Ann, wife of the late John Flannery; four grandchildren: Douglas, Jennifer, Jeremy, and Sara; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Jean, wife of Larry Reppert; grandson, Jesse
Tavenner; brother, John D. Greif and sister, Ruth Greif.

Having just celebrated Jeanie’s 93rd birthday with so many loved ones, the family will gather for a
private burial ceremony. Because of Jeanie’s love for the youth of her church, contributions can be made, in her honor, to Community Evangelical Church, 51 Green Valley Rd., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. (In the memo Section): Arise Youth Ministry.
