Obituary for Frank Edward Wiltraut III

Frank Edward Wiltraut III, known to his friends and family as Ed, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, in the comfort of his coach with his beloved wife, Cindy, and their faithful companions, Mork and Mindy, beside him. He and Cynthia M. (Beane) shared 28 years of marriage.

Born to the late Frank E. Wiltraut Jr. and Ruth E. (Brown), Ed graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 1972. He attended the University of Colorado where he participated in the ROTC program and joined the Chi Psi fraternity. After graduation, he began his service in the United States Navy. He served honorably on the USS English, the USS Henderson, and the USS Lexington. In 2008, Ed completed his Master’s degree at Kutztown University.

In 2014 he retired from teaching, last working in Bethlehem Area School District.

For the last six years, Ed and Cindy were full time RV-ers, and enjoyed adventures throughout the United States and Canada. Ed particularly enjoyed their time in Colorado and New Mexico. He leaves behind friends throughout the country.

Left to treasure Frank’s memory is his wife, Cindy, and his brother, Grant Wiltraut (Melissa) of Frisco, TX. He is also survived by his nieces: Alanna, Tiffany, and Ashley. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his sister, Nan Mauger.

A Celebration of Life will held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Contributions in Ed’s memory may be offered to the American Cancer Society, https://donate3.cancer.org.
