Obituary

Obituary for Genaro D. DeLillo

Loving father and husband Genaro D. DeLillo, 32, of Hamburg passed away unexpectedly on August 7th, 2020.

He was married to the love of his life, Christine R. (Miller) DeLillo, with whom he would have celebrated five years of marriage on the 16th of August.

Born in September of 1987 at the Reading Hospital, he was the son of Ronald G. DeLillo Jr. & the late Catherine R. (Biondo) DeLillo.

Genaro grew up in Windsor Castle and was a graduate of Hamburg Area Highschool (Class of 2006).

He was employed by Nester’s Sanitation. Previously, he spent most of his career as a talented chef. Many people raved about his dishes, his chicken marsala was among one of the best. Genaro aspired to attend college and become a nutritionist.

Cooking was one of Genaro’s passions. He was proud to have participated in the 16th season of Hell’s Kitchen and was also a judge for the 2016 Iron Chef Hamburg Competition. Genaro had a love for writing and in high school wrote for the Reading Eagle Voices. Throughout his life he wrote poetry. Genaro was very creative in many ways. He also had a love for photography and ran his own business with his dearest wife, called G&C Funtography.

Genaro’s greatest joy was being the most loving and caring father to his surviving four year old son, Felix H. DeLillo.

Generous, kind, and understanding, Genaro always extended a helping hand to anyone that crossed his path. Endlessly caring and giving, he truly was a great man who had a heart of gold.

He was spontaneous and adventurous. Genaro loved traveling, hiking, climbing trees, and living life to the fullest. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and always listening to music. He really was one of a kind, an inspiration to those around him.

In addition to his spouse and son, He is also survived by his siblings: Chad DeLillo, Michael Biondo, Sabina DeLillo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed online at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
