Obituary for George Cundy Mason

George Cundy Mason, 54 of Mohnton, passed away May 8, 2021, at the Reading Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Kelly A. (Bohanak) Mason.

Born in Vineland, NJ, he was a son of the late George W. and Jane Clair (Cundy) Mason.

He was a graduate of Tulpehocken High School and Alvernia University where he received a bachelor’s degree in History.

George was employed by Earl T. Wadhams Inc. as a truck driver.

George found pleasure in sharing his knowledge of history with his family and friends and helping someone in need. He also was proud of his Irish heritage, loved the great outdoors, traveling, camping, entertaining and cooking.

A true fighter with a giant spirit to match George will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four siblings: Joanie Mason, William, husband of Linda Mason, Janarthur, husband of Avia Mason and Nina, wife of Dennis Faust; seven nieces and nephews: Alison Sharpless, Cassie Shipp, Janine Oswald, Cori Muckel, Dennis Faust, Jr., Theresa Stoudt and Alexzander Mason; two great-nieces, McKenzie Oswald and Sophia Stoudt and his beloved pets, Chewy and Molly.

He was predeceased by two brothers: James Mason and Richard Mackel and his nephew, John Burdinskie.

A memorial service will be Friday, May 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private. Friends may call Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 301 S 5th St, Reading, PA 19602. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
