Obituary for Harry F Stock
Harry F. Stock, 70, of Wyomissing passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at home after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Born on July 11, 1952, in Staten Island, NY, he was the only son of the late Walter and Sarah Jane Stock.
He was the husband of Janice (Poley) Stock, with whom he recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on June 11th.
He was a 1971 graduate of North Penn High School in Lansdale, PA.
Harry was a beloved husband, father, and pop-pop. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jesse; stepsons, Dennis Maurer Jr. (Katie) of Millersville, MD, and William Murray (Gwen) of Newport, TN; his grandchildren, Deven, Samantha, Dallas, Kiyana, and James. He is also survived by his devoted grand-pup, Khylee, who was by his side until the end.
Harry was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of West Reading, where he played the guitar along with other instruments. He was also a guitar player with the classic rock band Cheyenne.
Harry was a lifelong tractor trailer driver, driving for Bachman Pretzels and Interstate Container before retiring in 2015. Most recently he was a delivery driver for the West Reading Drug Store where he worked until he was physically unable to do so any longer.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 336 Franklin Street, West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm until the start of services.
