Obituary for Ira Peter Mohler
Ira Peter Mohler, 57, passed away on December 7, 2020, in his Wyomissing residence.
Pete fought a lengthy battle with brain and thyroid cancer. He moved in with his parents Ira Barry and Virginia E. (Littleton) Mohler, who served as his caretakers.
He graduated from Villa Oasis School, Toltec, AZ and went on to join his father and grandfather in their family business, Ira G. Mohler & Son, Inc., Shillington as treasurer from 1981 until 2007.
Pete loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt, ski, swim, golf, hike, and fish. A completely altruistic and honest man, he has many loyal friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Sandra Lynn Mohler, Wyomissing and one niece, Valerie Mohler Kerschner, Wyomissing.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the McGlinn Family Regional Cancer Center at Reading Hospital, c/o Reading Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 16052, Reading, PA 19612.
