Obituary for Jack B. Gordon

Jack B. Gordon, 87, of Flying Hills passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, June 18, 2020. He was the husband of Carole J. (Hebrank) Gordon.

Born April 1, 1933, in Dennison, Ohio, he was a son of Edwin and Vivian (Copeland) Gordon.

After graduating from Jeanette High School in 1951, Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force, and served in the Korean War. A retail manager, he worked for G.C. Murphy's.

He was a member of United Calvary Methodist Church in Mohnton.

A die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan, Jack loved the Penguins, Pirates and Steelers. He also was an avid Penn State football fan.

He is survived by his wife, Carole, and two sons: Jack Gordon, husband of Renae, of Pound, Va., and Kurt Gordon, husband of Patricia, of Reading. There are eight grandchildren: Chris, Doug, Wendy, Ryan, Laura, Andrew, Aaron and Alec; and seven great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Kadence, Chase, Carter, Gunner, Rey and Chase. He is also survived by a son-in-law, Jerry "Buster" Ross.

Jack was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa Ross, and a granddaughter, Katie Ross.

There will be a public service at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27.
