Obituary for Jack Roy Bender
Jack Bender, 86, passed away on March 7, 2021, in the Reading Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Lucille (Pettit) Bender, who preceded him in death on September 1, 1999.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Roy and Helen (Kauffman) Bender. Before retiring, he was the Reading Eagle building superintendent.
He was a lifetime member of the Holly Society of America. His hobbies included travel, growing hollies, leather-work and carpentry.
He is survived by three daughters: Deborah, wife of Timothy Drager, Constance, wife of Michael Sebio and Dawn, wife of William Wivell. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560 on Friday, March 12 from 9 to 10am, followed by a Celebration of Life Service and Entombment at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum.
