Obituary for Jacqueline Ann Wissler

Jacqueline Ann Wissler, 86, of Reading, went to be with God and her family on December 27, 2020, in the care of the Lutheran Home at Topton. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (Seiger) Wissler.

Graduating from Reading Highschool, she enjoyed a career managing the second floor at Western Electric.

A philanthropist and animal lover, Jackie was a light in the lives of all who knew her. She always left the room brighter than how she found it. Jackie never went anywhere without her lipstick or a smile. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children, and she was always the person who stepped up when someone was in need. A passionate bowler, she could be found at any of the local bowling alleys; she also enjoyed cards and bingo. She loved to travel and frequent her beloved second home in Florida, a regular destination for her family and a place, just like anywhere she was, that they were always welcome.

Jackie’s one true gift was giving. A frequent volunteer in her community, Jackie advocated for and touched many people during her time here on Earth. She is survived by and will be loved and kept forever by her family: Sharon M. Shuman (Nicholas DiFelice) of Wyomissing; Jay C. Wissler (Susan) of Pottstown; Dale R. Wissler Jr. (Cynthia) of Tucson, AZ; Craig A. Wissler (Victoria Hadd Wissler) of Tucson, AZ; Harry "Butch" Wissler III (Arlana) of Harrisburg; Tawna Wilson of Harrisburg; and Barry Wissler of Harrisburg. She is also survived by a number of great nieces and nephews. To know Jackie was to love her, and she is already so missed by those who hold her dear.

In addition to her parents, Jacqueline was predeceased by: her brother, Harry Wissler II, who is survived by his widow, Jeanette Wissler; her brother Dale R. Wissler Sr., who is survived by his widow, Lily Christian Wissler; her sister Darlene L. Christman and brother-in-law Ronald E. Christman; and her dear friend and beloved aunt, Mary Ashmore.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Berks County in memory of Jackie’s love and lifelong dedication to animal welfare and rescue.

Services for Jacqueline will be private at the convenience of her family. The Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences, tributes, and fond memories may be expressed at

I am so sorry to hear of Jackie's passing. We shared many memories and good times within the bowling family. Especially state tournaments and national conventions. She will be missed. Andrea andrzjewski
