Obituary for Jean Stuebner
Jean L. Stuebner, 97, of Bern Township, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, in the care of Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving widow of Elmer R. Stuebner, who passed away on August 25, 2021.
Born in Reading to the late William and Florence (Schaeffer) Remppel, Jean graduated from Reading High School. She retired from Bell Telephone after more than 30 years as an operator.
Jean and Elmer had known each other since childhood, and they treasured their 76 years of marriage together. Jean missed him terribly, and her family finds comfort in knowing they are reunited.
Jean is survived by: niece, Midge Wilkens; cousins Ruth Orlando and Robert Orlando; and three nieces, two nephews, and their families. In addition to her husband and her parents, Jean was predeceased by: her sisters, Ruth and Virginia; her brother, William; and her two stepbrothers, Tots and Boots.
