Obituary for Joanne E. Shields McCready
Our hearts are broken over the loss of an incredibly strong woman, loving wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother - Joanne 'Nona' Elizabeth McCready (nee Shields) (63).
Daughter of Joseph and Mary Shields (nee Mirabella) she is survived by her husband Gerald; children: Kendall, Nolan, Curran and Evan; grandchildren: Patrick, Annalise, Reagan, Adelaide, Killian, Reid, Finnian and Callum and sisters: Patricia, Kathryn, and Marie.
She will be remembered for the strength of her character and the passion with which she loved her family. In honor of the 12 years she spent as a dedicated member of the Wyomissing Area School Board, the family requests that donations be made to the Wyomissing Area Education Foundation (re: Joanne McCready - https://www.wyoarea-foundation.org/) in lieu of flowers.
No services will be held at this time. Brave beyond what should be required, a void has been left where she once stood. She will be more than missed, she will be remembered.
