Obituary for Joseph Leonard Hoffman Sr.
Joseph L. Hoffman, Sr., 68, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, in his Reinholds residence. He was the loving husband of Audrey G. (Dinino) Hoffman, with whom he shared over 51 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Albert and Catherine (Stock) Hoffman.
Joe drove for MJ Earl, Inc., of Reading for 25 years until retirement in 2015.
Joe was the longtime proprietor of the Haymakers Social Club of Reading. His friends and family will remember him as an incredibly generous person. As a younger man, he enjoyed playing softball and shuffleboard. He was an avid poker player. He was a proud Cowboys fan, regardless of his family's opinion of the matter.
Left to treasure Joe's memory is his beloved wife, Audrey; their children, Joseph Hoffman Jr. (Evy) of Reading and Amy Seifrit (Robert) of Lake Wales, FL; grandchildren, Joseph L. Hoffman III, Shelby Barr, Kaitlyn Egolf, Heather Hoffman, Samantha Shurr, and Jared Seifrit; great grandchildren, Dominic Hoffman, Luke Klemmer, Matthew Barr Jr., Miracle Barr, Synestra Hoffman, Aria Hoffman, and Emily Shurr, and his brother, Eddie, and sisters, Dolly, Peggy, Carol, Gracie, and Jackie. Joe was predeceased by his granddaughter, Carrie Ann Seifrit, and great grandson, Liam Hoffman.
