Obituary for Joseph Michael Lynch

Joseph "Joe" Michael Lynch, 58, passed away on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021 in Penn State Health- St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Michele Ann (Deppen) Lynch for 20 years.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 13, 1962, he was the son of the late Joseph Martin Lynch and Lena (Manganello) Lynch. He was a 1980 graduate of Wyoming Area High School, later attending Luzerne County Community College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Joseph worked for more than 30 years in auto parts sales, most recently as a Commercial Sales Manager at AutoZone. As a self-proclaimed chef, Joe took great pride in his cooking. He made family recipes, and enjoyed experimenting with different cuisines. Joe could never leave a recipe alone! Making people happy with his food was his great passion. Joe was an avid football fan - Penn State on Saturdays, Dallas Cowboys on Sundays. Despite Michele being born and raised a Philadelphia Eagles fan, they found a way to make it work, understanding no one is perfect. Joe also enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races with his family and friends, oh the stories they can tell! The most important thing to Joe Lynch was family. He loved his family with his whole heart and always put them first.

In addition to his wife, Michele, Joe is survived by his daughter, Katie A. Lynch; brother-in-law, John Walsh, West Pittston; nephew, Brian Walsh and his wife Kristen; nieces, Meghan Walsh and Kristen Walsh; great-niece Kerrigan, great-nephews Aidan and Zachary.

In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by his sister, Patricia "Patty" (Lynch) Walsh in 2006.

Services and Celebration of Life to be held at a later date and details will be announced on Michele's Facebook page.
