Obituary for Julie A. Waltman
Julie A. Waltman-Gechter, 52, of Oley, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, in the care of Reading Hospital after an unexpected medical emergency. The loving wife of Joseph Gechter, they shared over 30 years together.
Born in Lancaster County to Ronald Waltman of Peach Bottom and Carmen Freiler (Tony) of Florida, Julie graduated from Solanco High School in 1988.
Julie was a talented and passionate dog groomer whose skill has been recognized on numerous occasions in professional competitions and championships. For ten years she has owned and operated Artistry in Motion Pet Styling.
She treasured her family, and will be greatly missed by her husband, Joe; their children, Joel, Jeremiah, and Justina; her parents, Ronald Waltman and Carmen (Tony) Freiler; her brother, Jamie (Kelly) Waltman of Peach Bottom; her sister, Kristie (Michael) Lintner of Columbia; and her loving nieces and nephews. Julie is also survived by her beloved poodle, Cezanne; the Maltese, Tinkerbell; and cat, Lulu.
