K. Lucille Bixler, 84, formerly of Exton, passed away at her residence in Green Hills Manor of Shillington on Saturday, June 6, 2020. She was the wife of Curtis S. Bixler, to whom she was married for 63 years.
Born in Bellefonte, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Lester and Hester (Smull) Meek.
Lucille was a graduate of South Williamsport High School. She worked after high school for Bell Telephone Company for a few years before leaving the workforce to raise her family. Once her children were older, Lucille worked for Strawbridge & Clothier department store and Pfizer Corp.
Lucille dedicated herself to the most important things in her life - her children and grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed getting together with friends to play cards. In her younger years, she and Curtis also enjoyed square dancing.
In addition to her loving husband, Curtis, she is survived by her daughters Carol B. Kropf, wife of Walter F., of Fleetwood, and Christine B. Dillen, wife of Michael P., of Littlestown. There are also four grandchildren, Jennie Sherrill, wife of Sam; Julia Kropf, wife of Adam Flickinger; and Laura and Lisa Lawson; and two great-grandchildren, Ava Litzenburg and Carter Sherrill.
Lucille is predeceased by a son, David C. Bixler; and two brothers, Donald and Richard Meek.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
