Kenneth George Allcock, 76, of Spring Twp. passed away on April 29, 2023, at Reading Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Christine M. (Morton) Allcock. They were married on June 11, 1974 and shared 49 wonderful years together.
Born in Manchester, England, he was the son of the late Sydney and Alice (Massey) Allcock.
Ken attended Manchester College and finished his apprenticeship at 21 as a machinist. He was a highly respected maintenance manager at Hershey Chocolate, Smiths Falls, Ontario, and at Ludens, Hershey in Reading, PA. He retired in 2007.
A die-hard Manchester United football fan, English football was his favorite pastime along with fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Above all his family was his life; he loved them so much and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Ken loved to make people smile and laugh. Ken's sense of humor was infectious. He touched many lives with his kindness, generosity and sense of humor. He always said "made you laugh" every time he was with his family.
Cheers to you dad for always making us smile and making every wonderful moment a lasting memory.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Laura, married to Christopher M. Stemko, his two grandchildren, Madison and Joseph Stemko, his sister, Barbara Allcock, and the rest of his family in England.
Ken's family wishes to thank Dr. Shahin Manoochehri, MD, Dr. Kumud Sharma, MD and all the staff on the 4th floor ICU and on the 3rd floor patient care unit for their caring professionalism and comforting compassion.
Kenneth requested no formal services be held. Please remember Kenneth by enjoying a pint and taking in a Manchester United game. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is honored to assist the Allcock family. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
