Obituary for Kristin Marie Nawoczenski Wassil

Our beloved Kristin gained her angel wings suddenly on July 3, 2022. She was born September 12, 1985. Kristin resided in California with the love of her life, her husband James.

Kristin grew up in Sinking Spring and enjoyed her childhood with her cousins and family. Some of her most cherished memories were of family gathering, driving to Florida, and time spent together in Stone Harbor.

Kristin graduated from Holy Name High School in 2004. She then attended Lebanon Valley College, where she played volleyball and continued to make lifelong friends. Kristin furthered her education by earning her MBA in Marketing from West Chester University. She works for a Tech Company in California.

Those who knew Kristin could not help but love her. She was compassionate and loved those she cared about fiercely. One of Kristin’s greatest gifts was to notice those around her and share her thoughtfulness, huge heart, and sense of humor. Her laugh and kindness were contagious. Kristin was an extremely talented artist and enjoyed sharing her beautiful creativity with all she knew.

Kristin and her husband James were avid hikers, world travelers, and were true soulmates who shared a passion for life.

On top of being an amazing friend, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece and cousin, Kristin truly cherished being “Cool Aunt Kristin” – a title celebrated by all her nieces and nephews, especially her Ryan and Kira.

Ryan and Kira loved all the special time that Cool Aunt Kristin spent with them. Together they enjoyed sleepovers, swimming in the bay, playing in the pool, boogie boarding, building sandcastles, hunting sea glass, FaceTime calls, Disney trips, and huge embraces. Cool Aunt Kristin always made Ryan and Kira feel special. During Covid, Cool Aunt Kristin supported Ryan and Kira by providing art lessons, reading Harry Potter, and entertained the kids fashion shows, Pokémon displays, “walking” across America, and most importantly showering them with all her love.

Kristin is survived by her husband James, parents AnnMarie (Fromuth) and Joe Nawoczenski, sister Amy (Kaunitz), grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and all of her close friends.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Kristin’s spirit by spreading some kindness to continue to pass on the love that Kristin has shared with all of us. Know that you are loved.
