Obituary for Leslie L. DeFrancesco

It is with great sorrow that the family of Leslie Lynn DeFrancesco announce of her passing on February 1st, 2024 at the age of 61. Born in Phoenixville Hospital on June 19th,1962 and raised across the street from her grandparents' farm, she spent her time playing and working there.

Leslie was happily married to Adam DeFrancesco for 26 years. They met during the holiday season in the blustery winter of 1993. Later married in 1997, she conceived and gave birth to her daughter Ashley Lynn in 1998, to whom she wholly devoted herself. Leslie loved and valued her sister Diana Stigura who made countless sacrifices to help Leslie during the course of her chronic illnesses. Leslie’s mother, Theresa E. Murray, daughter of James Ignatius and Mary Kupeski Bilski, lived and cared for Leslie many years with Adam and Ashley before passing shortly before Leslie on November 5, 2023.

Leslie loved her animals that kept her company while she was ill for many years: Bouche, Binny, Flynn, Chloe, and Belle. Determined, hard-working, and highly intelligent, she graduated from Kimberton Farms School and earned an A.S. degree at Harlem Jr. College. She had a goal to become a pharmacist before choosing a different path in life due to various circumstances. She served her community as a clerk and pharmacy assistant at Brouse Drug Store, pharmacy tech at Phoenixville Hospital, and as a medical office manager and doctor’s assistant at Pottstown Medical Association. She occupied herself with many active and creative hobbies, such as collecting sentimental memories for scrapbooking, traveling, boating, family board games, reading, holiday meal cooking, training service dogs, competing in Devon Horse Show including dressage, helping in school functions/fundraising, and Eucharistic Adoration. She valued family as the highest priority under God. She will be remembered with grateful affection.
