Obituary for Margaret "Peg" Duffy

Margaret C. "Peg" Duffy, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Columbia Cottage in Wyomissing. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Kelly) Duffy. Margaret raised her own family in Warminster and Bucks, working as an Administrative Assistant at the Horsham Clinic and Lower Bucks Hospital until her retirement.

Peggy was a progressive thinker who valued inclusion, tolerance and kindness. She was committed to instilling these values in her children. Caring for a special needs sister fostered a strong sense of compassion within her. A passionate sense of advocacy for vulnerable and marginalized groups was an integral part of who she was. She was a lover of dogs, all things Irish, and the Philadelphia Eagles. Above all she was a woman of faith. Her Catholic upbringing and devotion to the Sacred Heart sustained her through all the chapters of her life.

Margaret is survived by son, Michael Tulencik and his wife Sue, of Shillington; daughters, Meg Russell of Bensalem and Kathleen Beauvais Los Angeles, CA; and grandchildren, Corey and Caela Russell of Bensalem.

She was preceded in death by son, Joseph Tulencik; and sisters, Patricia Daubenspeck and Catherine Duffy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading, PA 19611. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem will follow.
