Marie L. (Periandri) Gehring, 95, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, in the care of Celebration Villa, Exeter. She was the loving wife of George D. Gehring, who passed away August 17, 2017. Born in Reading she was a daughter of the late Raffaele and Filomena (Cacciacarne) Periandri, who immigrated from Italy.

Left to treasure Marie’s memory are her sons George, husband of Carlene (Strohecker) Gehring, and David, husband of Deborah (Haas) Gehring. She has two grandsons, George and Jeffrey, step grandchildren Melissa and Shaun, and her great grandchildren, Carson, Emrie, Ella, Benjamin, Maxwell, and Nora.

Marie was passionate about sewing draperies and clothing. She liked playing pinochle and the lottery. She enjoyed senior citizen trips and trips to the casino.

A prayer service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading PA 19605, with entombment to follow. A visitation with the family will be held Saturday, March 5, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading PA 19611.
