Obituary for Marie A. Snyder
Marie A. Wall-Snyder, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in the care of County Meadows of Wyomissing. Twice widowed, Marie was the loving wife of Claude B. Wall, who passed away in 1969, and William T. Snyder, who passed away in 2016.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Valentine and Regina (Unkel) Vogel. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1945 and served as her class secretary. A young woman, Marie was very active with the Junior Catholic Women’s Club and the Reading Archery Club. Faith remained important to her always, and she was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.
Marie was the Vice President of Snyder Whole Sale and Distributors.
A very social woman, Marie treasured her adventures with her friends in her 50’s + clubs. She enjoyed swimming and ballroom dancing. She had a passion for clothing, especially shoes, and was a talented seamstress.
Left to treasure Marie’s memory are her children: Jean E. Kreuzberger (Paul F.) of Lebanon; Michael C. Wall (Barbara) of Reading; Larry Wall (Kim) of NC; and David Wall (Amy) of Mertztown; her step children: Robert Snyder (Jill) of Reading; Richard Snyder (Teresa) of Hamburg; and Stephen Snyder of Reading; her 12 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, Marie was predeceased by her sister, Claire Maniaci.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at the Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, with remarks to follow. Friends and family are welcome to begin gathering at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
