Obituary for Marilyn H. DiMuro
Marilyn H. DiMuro, 76 years old, of Pottstown, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023.
Born in Pottstown, on January 31, 1946, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Close) Hennessey.
Marilyn attended St. Pius X High School and Chestnut Hill College. She was a History teacher at Phoenixville Area High School and also worked as a realtor with Weichert Realtors. Marilyn was a longtime member of AAUW where she advocated for women’s rights. She loved to travel the world and instilled in those around her an appreciation and awareness for other cultures.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Nicholas W. DiMuro Jr.; three children, Laura and her husband, Nicholas Buchanan, Nicholas W. DiMuro III, and Philip DiMuro and his wife, Katie; three grandchildren, Quinn Buchanan, Elliot Buchanan, and Kaiden DiMuro and three brothers, James, Timothy, and Kevin Hennessey. She was predeceased by her older brother, Robert Hennessey.
Marilyn’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Aloysius R.C.C. on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. A visitation will be Thursday, from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. at the Gathering Center of St. Aloysius R.C.C. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
