Marion B. Klahold, 87, of West Lawn, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 5, 2018, in Reading Hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband Gerhart C. Klahold, Jr., who died December 18, 1998.

Born in Hellam, York County, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Ethel (Strickler) Blessing.

Marion was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wyomissing.

She was a full time homemaker and worked as a sales representative for Avon Products for over 40 years.

Marion enjoyed getting out and about in the community as an "Avon Lady" She was an avid card player, sports fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and 76er's, and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was her family's resident mender, jelly maker and soup maker.

She is survived by her three children, Angela Trauger, married to the late Stephen P. Trauger , Stroudsburg; Kimball, husband of Kim Klahold, Bernville; and Melissa Graeff, companion of James Tolen, Reading. She is also survived by her two siblings, William E. Blessing, York; James A. Blessing, York; three grandchildren, Eric Farr, and his wife Kristen, Auburn; Erin Schoenherr, and her husband Nicholas, Blandon; Kyle Graeff, and his partner Miranda Geake, Leesport; three step grandchildren; Jamie Tolen, Jesse R. and Cory S. Lerch; three great grandchildren, Emery and Ella Schoenherr, and Bodin Farr, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday October 9, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, with burial to follow at Canadochly Cemetery, 4921 E Prospect Rd, York, PA 17406. Rev. Mandy Miller will be officiating. Viewings will be held Monday evening, October 8, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again Tuesday, one hour prior to the service in the funeral home at the above address.
