Obituary for Mary V Freeman
Mary V. Freeman, 94, went to be with her Lord and savior on Monday, May 22, 2023.
She was born in Stony Creek, VA, to the late Manson and Sally (Green) Artis-Lackey. Mary received her nursing credentials from Richmond General Hospital in Virginia. She worked in the healthcare field where she held various positions throughout the years. Mary retired from Pennhurst after 30 plus years in the healthcare field. Mary had a deep faith and enjoyed singing is her Church choir. She loved her family and especially liked cooking for everyone. Mary enjoyed going on cruises, traveling and bowling; she had many trophies. She will be miss by many.
Mary leaves behind her memories to be cherished by her son, Vincent Artis (wife Kati), sister, Margie Brown and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Mary is predeceased by a son, Junious Artis, granddaughter, Alexa Artis, brothers: George Artis, Cleveland Artis, William Artis, sisters, Daisy Perry and Agnes Artis.
A homegoing service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, Pottstown. A public viewing will be held prior to service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Church.
Entombment will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories.
