Obituary for Mary Ida Kreisher
Mary I. Kreisher of Exeter Township, a beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on May 12, 1942, in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russel S. Moyer and Jessie E. Moyer (Keefer). Mary was predeceased by her brother Russel Moyer. Her legacy is woven with love, compassion, and a lifelong dedication to education and family.
Mary's devotion to her family was unwavering. She was a cherished wife to Robert Kreisher and mother to her two sons, Marc Moyer and Michael Moyer (husband to Samantha Moyer). Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, as she adored her five grandchildren: Morgan, Adalyn, Lincoln, Hanna and Everly.
A proud alumna of Kutztown University, Mary's commitment to learning and growth was evident throughout her life which was marked by a remarkable career in education. She pursued her passion for teaching, which spanned 38 years with the Berks County Intermediate Unit. Her impact extended beyond the classroom as she worked diligently in the gifted program at the Reading Museum while working for Reading School District, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless students.
After retiring from her teaching career, she continued to work part-time at R&R Games, sharing her joy for games and camaraderie. She also spent countless hours volunteering at various organizations that were near and dear to her heart.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Mary's zest for life was evident in her love for travel. She often explored the beauty of Europe and the vibrant streets of New York City, collecting memories and making close friends along the way.

A visitation to celebrate Mary's life will be held at Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading PA, on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additionally, a visitation followed by burial service will take place at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave, Northampton, PA 18067, at 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday August 26, 2023 followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery - Northampton, PA. This service will be open to both family and friends, allowing everyone touched by Mary's life to come together in remembrance.
