Obituary for Mary Sianis
Mary Sianis, 98, passed away on February 25, 2022 in her Wyomissing residence surrounded by her loving family.
Her husband, Christ Sianis, passed away on November 8, 2012. They shared 66 wonderful years of marriage together.
Born in Milton, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Fevronia (Sacalis) Lamprinos.
She was a graduate of Milton High School, and later worked as a retail manager for Salon's Department Store, West Reading for many years.
Mary was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, where she was a choir member for over 30 years. She was a 50 year member of the St. Xenia Philoptochos Society whose mission is centered around charitable and philanthropic outreach to the community; Mary served on the society's board and various committees. She was also a member of the Jr. Women's Club of Wyomissing.
She enjoyed baking, oil painting, reading, sewing and knitting, and traveling with her husband. Mary especially loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra, wife of Evan Zervanos, West Lawn and Kathleen, wife of James Rohm, Sinking Spring; five grandchildren: Michael Zervanos, Christopher Zervanos, Stephen (Luisa) Zervanos, Elizabeth (Michael) Wadsworth, John (Megan) Rohm and 12 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Tyler, Ally, Emma, Brian, Nicholas, Nik, Elaina, Katie, Christina, Aubriana, and Luke. Mary was predeceased by two brothers, Gregory and George Lamprinos.
Services will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, with burial to follow at Charles Evans Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Contributions may be made to Sts.
