Obituary

Dr. Matthew W. Brackbill, 27, passed away in Erie, PA, on Thursday, May 6, 2021.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of Dr. Robert Brackbill and Dr. Elizabeth (Whipple) Brackbill.

Matthew was a graduate of Wyomissing High School, ’12, where he received recognition by both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. He was an active member of the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra and a talented violinist. As a high school student, he earned a Certificate in Graphic Design at BCTC. While attending Grove City College, ’16, he participated in the symphony orchestra and was president of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. He worked as a medical scribe for a year prior to beginning his graduate work at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Matthew completed his studies and earned the distinction of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine as part of the Class of 2021.

He was a member of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

Matthew was loving, warm, and affectionate and will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and his community. His life was a gift to us from God.
